WORSHIP WITH US

Pastor Mark Hennig

Pastor Mark Hennig grew up on a small farm south of Stony Plain, Alberta.  He met his wife, Darla, shortly after graduating from High School and were married at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in November of 1997.  They have four children: Levi, Kennedy, Brynn and Kyle.

Pastor Mark graduated in 2003 from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in Edmonton, Alberta with a Masters of Divinity degree.  He received his first call to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tomahawk, Alberta.  While serving there for six years he found time to help when needed at the community school, at the Agricultural Center, was a volunteer firefighter and coached softball.

He has served as the Pastoral Councillor for the Lutheran Women's Missionary Society of Canada for 6 years and was a member of the Board of Regents for Concordia University College of Alberta for two full terms.

In the summer of 2009 he was installed as the pastor at Concordia Lutheran Church. He enjoys the fellowship events in the church, especially men's breakfast and continues to find ways to be involved in the Community Millhurst as well as supporting areas of need in the Summerside Community where he and his family live.

Sports are another passion of his, as he plays hockey and is on the church league softball team.  He has become involved as a coach with both soccer and hockey and enjoys watching his kids play. Most importantly Pastor Mark serves the Lord for and with God's people.
